Ultrasonic leak detection
The ingress of water through leaking hatch covers is the main cause of cargo damage and following claims. Navonus can guarantee the cargo hold is weathertight by carrying out an Ultrasonic Leak Detection (ULD) test. We place an ultrasonic transponder in the closed and secured cargo hold. Afterwards our licenced surveyors pass with a sensor around the outside of the hatch coamings. Any leak will be precisely marked on the ultrasonic receiver.
